OUR ROBOT’S ALMOST DONE!! the electronics board and tower just need to be mounted..and we should be cool (w/ the actual building part at least :D)

Mounted wood pieces on tower so they can move and change the angle of our shot; should be finishing that up tomorrow…

The tower is now functioning and capable of scoring!

Worked on tower and mounted electronics board on chassis (w/ one screw unable to fit). tried to make a hood for top of tower w/ polycarb and velcro tape…definitely needs some work :P surgical tubing attached to rollers on tower w/ zip ties.

Both chassis and improved manipulator in progress; barebones chassis now drives (albeit badly).
1/14 (Bellarmine Vex Competition)
Teams 2367 and 2367B participated in the Bellarmine Vex Regional Competition today, earning rankings of 37th (2367) and 50th (2367B) out of 52 teams total. Good job to both teams who showed up there and hope everyone had fun! As for the ranking, well, good luck next year and keep in mind that our team’s still young :)
1/11 (Day 4)
Started building chassis, prototype chassis CAD done, board members presented robot design to Rubin, Alejandro, Raines, Chechelnitsky, and people from Lockheed Martin and Nikon.
1/10 (Day 3)
Built working shooter, built 2 CIM gearboxes for chassis, started building test model chassis, begin CADding chassis design
Mandatory strategy meeting!
All team members: show up at the lab at 10:00 for mandatory post-kickoff strategy meeting for the 2012 FIRST Competition!
